I am a proud Scot, happily living in the Northwest of England since 2000.

When I'm not working, I love spending time with my family, friends and my gorgeous Golden Retriever puppy.

My partner and I love walking and exploring our neighbouring Lancashire countryside with the dog and then relaxing over a good pub lunch.

I am an avid reader (everything from the Bronte's to whodunnits), cinema/theatre goer and foodie.

I am passionate about providing quality maternity care and am , even after 20+years, very proud to be a hands-on obstetrician. I'm still touched by the experience of helping a new life into the world and watching the joy as you hand them to their parents. I still love "the look" shared by the family as they take in the joy of what they have just achieved.
